Tips while Working with a Cable

While buying a cable, the difficult part is attaching the cable connector. So, it is advisable to buy prefabricated cables where the cables are already attached. The prefabricated cables are handy and much easy to use. A cable of the type Thinnet is sold in the market with the lengths of about 25, 50 or even 100 feet.

You have a choice to buy prefabricated twisted pair cables or you need to take the initiative to connect the connector to your cable. Here are some tips to remember while dealing with a cable: Count the number of cables that you require. While buying, always take more cables than required especially when the cables are to be used inside the walls. Make sure that there is no interference like big lights or motors while you are running a cable. If you are running a cable across the common walkway, then ensure to cover it with a small and fashionable rug so that the people see the rug and do not try to trip on the cords. If there are numerous cables gathering at one place, then try to make use of cable ties in order to tie them together. You may wish to use a masking tape on the cable but, it would be a bad idea because when you peel it off in a year or two, the sticky glue will remain on the cords.

It will be very difficult to clean it up at a later stage. At this time, you may regret of not using the cable tie to maintain several cables. A cable of the type Thinnet is sold in the market with the lengths of about 25, 50 or even 100 feet. You have a choice to buy prefabricated twisted pair cables or you need to take the initiative to connect the connector to your cable.

Why Use a Bluetooth Car?

Bluetooth car have become more and more popular because of the increasing use of the mobile phones. Such cars are available with the car kits that are developed using Bluetooth technology. The travelling of the people in the cars has increased and mobile phones have become an important device in the routine life of the people. Thus, the need of inventing the Bluetooth car has arisen. Now, people can easily talk on their phones while traveling or driving their vehicles without stopping.

If we think how the use of mobile phones has increased to such large extent, we come to the conclusion that this is due to the internet boom. The internet has made the information easily and readily available at any time. Moreover, people can remain in contact with each other with the help of trends such as twitter, facebook, myspace and many more and can be upgraded with the latest news. This new technology has made the people impatient to know about each and everything going on. This may sometimes leads to wrong decision especially while driving the car.

Let’s know how Bluetooth car kits are important. This car kit takes the advantage of the built-in functionality used in the mobile phones. The Bluetooth car kit such as Parrot and Bury connect your phone via Bluetooth function. Once it is connected, it acts just as a phone and allows a user interface with the phone via this kit. This kit allows people to browse the functionalities of the mobile phones such as text message, phonebook, dialing etc. without touching the phone.

Moreover, you can remain in contact with the people while driving by using this Bluetooth car kit. This car kit have made the communication safe and legal without breaking the contact of the steering wheel or loosing concentration while driving. The people not using Bluetooth for reading the text message or answering the phone may sometimes lead to accidents. This is the reason while the drivers are fined if they are caught using the mobile phone while driving. This does not means that you will not be charged if you are driving erratically.

Dell laptops: takes you a step ahead of others

It won’t be wrong to say that there still are people who rate money over quality but the quantity of such people is not a very big one. Today people have become more quality conscious. They only want to see the best product in their house no matter how much its going to cost them. People simply open up the mouth of their wallets when its a question of getting a quality product and this has left the companies with a of responsibilities because they have to cope up with the cut throat competition of the market without making a compromise on its quality.

Dell is such a company whose products, especially Dell laptops, succeeded in making a special place among the people and the company is steadily doing justice with its reputation. The company, with its head quarter in Texas, is only 25 years old as it was set up on November 4, 1984 but that it was known as PC’s Limited. In 1988, the company got its new name as Dell Computer Corporation and since then it has made a name for itself in the computer world.

Dell computers touched new heights during 1980s and 1990s by becoming the highest seller of personal computers and servers. As of 2008, there is only one company which has sold more computers than this 25-year-old company.

People’s needs and requirements keep on changing from time to time. That is why this company spends a huge money on its research department to keep itself up-to-date according to the people’s taste. Earlier, people prefer to have desktops for their personal computing uses but now laptops are getting more and more popular among the people because of its mobility. Dell didn’t waste any time in understanding this changing trend and soon came up with quality laptops at an affordable price. This added four moons to the popularity of this company and people could easily be seen searching for cheaper (in terms of money) and best quality Dell laptops.

The popularity of Dell laptops knew no limitation and soon the whole world became a big fan of this company and as a result it featured on the top place in the list of the “ Most Admired Companies” published by the global business magazine, Fortune Magazine, in February 2005.

People sees India as one of the fastest growing economies of the world and the people in India too are diverting from old traditional methods to new technology. That is why they whole heartedly welcomed this company which witnessed its products, especially laptops, selling like hot cakes.

Soon, Dell laptops in India turned out to be a huge hit in the market.

With the concept of online shopping in India getting popular, more and more companies are queuing up to upload lucrative deals on the Internet to attract more and more people. Dell also did the same thing and the results have already starting to show with a decent increase in the buyers of Dell laptops.

How to Recover Deleted Files?

Sometimes we would make some unthinkable mistakes. We would accidentally delete important files, empty them from the recycling bin,and then want to get them back. I’ve been asked like a hundred times if there’s anything can be done to recover these files, or are they gone for good. Many people would assume that the first step to do for file recovery is turning off the computer right away. Actually in most situation, a mistakenly deleted file can be recovered, no matter you emptied it from the recycling bin or use ‘Shift’ plus ‘Delete’. I will talk about how to recover deleted file here. And before this, I will first explain why a deleted file can still be recovered.
Let’s consider what happens when you move a file to the Recycling Bin and then empty the latter. Although the file is no longer listed in your Windows database, it is still in your drive, exactly where it resided before being deleted. Windows neither moves nor erases the file; instead, it simply marks the space in which it is located as available for immediate use.
Because the file in fact has not been deleted, you can then easily perform file recovery. The trick is to do so before Windows or another program starts writing new data in that newly available space. Time is of the essence, so the first thingto do once you realize a file has mistakenly been deleted is to stop using your computer. Doing so minimizes the chances of the space in question being overwritten by Windows and other programs, thus increasing the likelihood of a successful file recovery
About the worst thing you can do is turn off and/or reboot your PC, as both processes require your operating system to write data on your hard drive. Also, if there are any disk maintenance utilities (such as a disk defragmenter) running in the background, it is imperative that you abort them at once. Then you can perform a deleted file recovery by yourself (regardless of whether it was accidentally deleted or not). File loss caused by mistaken deletion is a kind of logical damage and most can be recovered by .
File recovery software understands the internals of the system used to store files on a disk (the file system) and uses this knowledge to locate the disk space that was occupied by a deleted file. Because another file may have used some or all of this disk space, there is no guarantee that a deleted file can be recovered. But because the space isn’t re-used straight away, there is a very good chance that you will succeed. Actually programs such as Wondershare Data Recovery gives you an indication of the chances of recovering a file intact. The free trial version of Wondershare Data Recovery even provides file viewer so you can check the contents to see if the file you want has been found, then decide whether to purchase the software or not.
And as mentioned before, once you realize you need file recovery, you’d better not use your computer any more. Therefore, if you have already taken proactive approach and have a file recovery software installed, you will feel so much better then. And of course, to avoid needing file recovery at all, you will need to back up your disks, defrag hard drives often.

The food catering and wedding coordinator at Hotel Laguna was found murdered in his home

Laguna Beach-on Friday October 23rd at 2:20 pm, Laguna Beach Police Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Dolphin Way for an unknown type of disturbance call.

A female had called “911” and told dispatchers she found her coworker deceased inside his residence. She had gone to check on him when he failed to show up for work at the hotel Laguna.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they entered the home and found deceased inside his home laying on the couch Damon Nicholson, a 41 year old resident of Laguna Beach, who was employed as food, catering and wedding coordinator.   He appeared to have died from trauma to his upper body and head.

The apartment was sealed off from the public and a search warrant was obtained to gather further evidence from the murder scene.  Later in the evening, the search warrant was executed at the home.

When police arrived the sliding glass door was found slightly ajar. Mr. Nicholson apparently lived alone, Lt. Jason Kravetz of the Laguna Beach police Dept. said. It is unknown if someone broke into the man’s home, or whether the man usually left the sliding door open.
Kravetz said, the delay in alerting the media was that Nicholson’s family members live out of state and had to be  notified of his death. Investigators believe that the killing took place sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning.

According to local reports a next-door neighbor Ed Petersen, 79, said the news was a “terrible shock and surprise.”
“But I guess these things can happen anywhere, even in Laguna Beach,” said Peterson, a 17-year resident in that neighborhood.
The two-story, pink-and-white duplex was cordoned with police tape shortly after the police arrived.

Laguna Beach Mayor Kelly Boyd told the media he was shocked when he heard news of the murder.
“It’s just so rare to hear about a murder in Laguna Beach,” he said, adding that he can’t recollect when the most recent murder took place in the city.
Laguna Beach is a small, tight-knit community where neighbors look out for each other, Boyd said

The body was removed from the residence by the Orange County Coroners office in the early morning hours.  The cause of death is pending an autopsy, but investigators are treating it as a homicide.
Neighbors and co-workers are being interviewed, anyone with information regarding this homicide is being urged to call the Investigations Division at (949) 497-0371 (Detective Debra Kelso).

The “Big Brain” Computer, Splitting the Atom, and Space Exploration

It is often said that just before a person dies, his whole life flashes in front of his face.

I don’t know if that’s true. I haven’t reached the necessary requirement yet; you know, the “being at death’s door” part.
At least I don’t think I have, but one never knows…

What I do know is that the mind is a marvelous and mysterious thing. I view the mind and the brain as essentially the same thing, at the same time realizing that “mind” is probably the software, the programming, while the brain is the computer the mind inhabits.  I think.  Or maybe the “mind” is the data resulting from the brain functioning with built-in software.

Anyway, who could ever really explain how it works?  Oh, they can tell you which region of the brain is responsible for what function, more or less.  They also have theories about electric currents, chemical messengers, and synapses, and folds in the grey matter.

But, come on, if they really knew how the brain worked they would build one.  A big one.  They would program it with all the data from all the databanks of the world, and set that brain the task of conquering the whole world.  Of course, just like atomic power, the “recipe” would leak out to many nations and there would be fear of a “brain war.”

“Disadvantaged” or “Third World Countries” would be excluded from the “big brain” membership, and there would be an ongoing effort to keep them from obtaining the technology.  The powerful nations of the world would bicker among themselves about what should or should not be allowed in reference to that “big brain” technology.  Maybe they would sign some kind of accord to keep the technology, and any creation resulting from it, out of outer space.

After all, that’s a frightening possibility: “Big brains” orbiting earth, guiding satellites, performing who knows what mission.  And whoever first learns how to integrate the thing into a deep space exploration vehicle would definitely put all the rest of the world at a great disadvantage.

Yes, man can build computers, even supercomputers, and even AI, artificial intelligence, which works to only a limited degree.  His abilities truly pale into insignificance when viewed alongside whatever process is responsible for the design and creation of this thing, this puny human brain.

The only possible way for man to build one of his own, with the same capabilities or greater, would be not to build one, but to grow one.  The reason is that the “big brain” would be a living thing, and there is a fundamental law that states that “life only comes from pre-existing life.”  If man ever learns to actually create life from inert matter,…  I’m unable to finish that sentence, for the consequences are unimaginable, and not in a good way!

I’m sure some semi-mad scientist in some secret lab at some closely guarded site is hard at work on the “big brain” problem, as well as the “life from ocean water” theory, at this very moment. Hmmm, I wonder what ever happened to Einstein’s brain!

Maybe the villagers should grab their torches and pitchforks and locate this hidden lab, or labs, and imprison “Dr. Frankenstein” once and for all.

On the other hand, I’m sure if they are discovered they will be very “glib” and convince us all that this fearsome technology will be used for the good of mankind, and never for war. (I wonder if the Japanese government and people would agree with that statement.)  And then there will be proliferation, inevitably.

The last time, we built fallout shelters (which would have been useless), but what will we build this time in an attempt to keep ourselves and our families safe?  Perhaps tin foil on the windows, and tinfoil hats?

Okay, okay, now I think I’m beginning to see my life flashing before my eyes.  In full color, at high speed.  I’ve got to grab onto something to keep from being sucked into…

Doom says or Scientific reasons, the end of the world in 2012?

Doom says or Scientific reason about the end of the world in 2012

The event created by the Hollywood is really shameful for the human kind. Culprit never minds to put fear for their earning and familiarity of livelihood. Inculcating the publicity by declaring the false statement and projection should be banned by the international Laws.  There should be strict regulation against the assassin of human mental peace. Millions and millions people had been nervous with their fearful enigmas living. How the hale had so consciously planned to do so? Why he was not thought about the whole nations as well as for human kind. He must not so much selfish to intensify such commitment of terrible destruction, only just for his fictions stories publicity. How their nation has sanctioned such nonsense fiction movie? It is also true that how an individual can do well for the human kind, who has achieved all the pseudo and hypocrite education and knowledge.  Who so ever it concerns, it matters the people of the Globe, should not be exempted from punishment for the crime he has done by putting the all countries in terrible panic.

If any nation’s cultures and science knowledge cannot be helpful to the humankind they should be such cruel to be deceiving the millions of innocent living.

Scientific probable reasons of end of World may be as follows:

Asteroid/Meteor/Comet – ancient, advanced civilisations have one distinct advantage over us – they may have observed the skies for longer, and may have spotted an orbit that will culminate in a collision with Earth in 2012. This is easily the most predictable disaster for 2012. With recent discussion of “dark comets”, we have become aware of the possibility of our planet being struck with little or no warning.

Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) from our Sun – a CME was behind the solar storm of 1859. It occurred in September of that year, causing the failure of telegraph systems across North America and Europe. Accompanying the storm were auroras that are normally only seen in the Arctic and Antarctic, but were visible as far south as the Caribbean. Typically we would expect a storm of 1859’s magnitude cause power blackouts and wreck satellites. But do we really know how big they can get? In 2009 NASA told us to be wary of solar storms, and warned of the dangers to America’s ancient overloaded power grid. Being without power for a few months, in the developed world, is a lot more serious than most people realise.

Magnetic Pole Shift – pole reversals have been happening on average once every 400,000 years, with the most recent one being 730,000 years ago – so we are well overdue. Not only do we not know much about reversals, scientists are still unsure about how our magnetic field is generated. Long thought to be a by-product of the movements of liquid iron in our planet’s core, recent studies are suggesting that our salty oceans might be the cause. Scientists suggest a geomagnetic reversal takes thousands of years and does no harm. They are wrong – it could just as easily happen overnight. No mechanism is known for the cause of the magnetic poles swapping places. Our magnetic field is known to be rapidly declining (10% in the last 150 years), and the magnetic North pole is moving around at an accelerating pace – it has been predicted it will move from Canada to Siberia in the next 50 years. These changes could be indicating an imminent reversal.

Explosion from the black hole at the center of our galaxy – in 1983 Dr Paul LaViolette described the dangers of a Galactic core explosion. He explained that it would generate a cosmic ray superwave, and it would be signalled by a gamma ray burst (see below). He also warned us that a gravity wave might travel ahead of the superwave. If seems likely that the 2004 tsunami was caused by a gravity wave, because the accompanying GRB arrived just 21 hours later, and was the brightest ever observed, 100 times brighter than any other seen in recorded history. This gravity wave did not come from our galactic center, but if it had, perhaps the effects would have been much worse.

Religious Apocalypse – or rapture, or “judgement day”. Most religions predict such a day. Conspiracy theorists suggest that many world leaders have apocalyptic beliefs, and may even be attempting to cause Biblical prophecy to be fulfilled in 2012 via their actions. If it helps, the Bible says “But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.” But then again, maybe God changed his mind since the Bible was written, and told some people the date of the apocalypse? Maybe he told the ancient Mayans? Possibilities could be argued ad infinitum.

Alien Invasion – no evidence, but plenty of believers! Tied in with this are recent crop circles that have 2012 and Mayan themes. If aliens are the creators of crop circles, then one would expect the circles to be a warning of sorts.

Gamma Ray Burst (GRB) – a 2004 study told us that a GRB from a distance of just one kiloparsec could destroy half of Earth’s ozone layer. It suggests that historical mass extinctions may have been caused by GRBs. NASA explains how “gamma-ray radiation from a relatively nearby star explosion, hitting the Earth for only ten seconds, could deplete up to half of the atmosphere’s protective ozone layer. Recovery could take at least five years. With the ozone layer damaged, ultraviolet radiation from the Sun could kill much of the life on land and near the surface of oceans and lakes, and disrupt the food chain.”

Crustal Displacement – a physical pole shift. The mechanism is not understood, and most theories are just wild guesses. However it seems quite likely we had one 12,000 years ago, and what goes around, comes around. Charles Hapgood provided substantial evidence for a pole shift at that time, and Allan and Delair have added to it in their book Cataclysm!: Compelling Evidence of a Cosmic Catastrophe in 9500 B.C. Take into account that Albert Einstein endorsed Hapgood’s ideas, and we have something to worry about.

Cosmic Rays – scientists have yet to work out where most high-energy cosmic rays come from. Either an increase striking our atmosphere, or a weakening of our shields, will let in more cosmic rays. They are already zipping through your body every second, and they could end up being our silent killers. As one example of their danger, airlines do not let pregnant women work on their inter-continental routes, because of the increased exposure to cosmic rays at those heights.

Flu Pandemic – it might not be swine flu, but flu researchers say a deadly pandemic is not a case of if, but when. Our generation is generally unaware of how bad the pandemic of 1918 was – it killed 50 million people. It was the number one cause of death amongst soldiers in WW1. Being killed by the enemy came second.

Nuclear War / WW3 / Biological War – although the Cold War is over, and less bunkers are being built, the threat is still very real. Tensions between the Koreas, and India & Pakistan are worrisome, as are the huge bunkers that the Russians have built. The Yamantau complex is large enough to protect 60,000 people!

Supervolcano – these are real, they have caused great catastrophes in the past, and we have no idea when the next eruption will be. Some believe Yellowstone could explode again soon, as it has been exhibiting signs of unrest, with earthquake swarms, ground deformation and considerable heat and gas emissions. It it did erupt, expect half of the USA to be wiped out, and major variations in global climate for many years. For more information, watch documentaries by the BBC and Discovery Channel.

Rise of the Machines – somewhere between Terminator and I Robot is an easy prediction: robots one day will have the capacity to rule the world. Are we stupid enough to allow it to happen?

Global Warming – it will only take an increase of a couple of degrees to make life very difficult for most humans. Luckily for us, it is unlikely to wipe us out as early as 2012.

Time Travel Error – someone from the future ventures into our past and causes a conflict in the time-space continuum… if it causes us harm in 2012, maybe someone managed to zip back in time and warn the ancients of it?

Nanotechnology – while this might have health concerns when used in everyday products (ie sunscreen), the doomsday risk is when self-replicating little thingies are developed. Search for “grey goo”. Fortunately 2012 seems too soon for some mad scientist to let the goo loose.

Nearby Supernova – experts say that no supernova candidates are close enough to harm us. But how many supernovas have they observed? This is where, after the fact, scientists proclaim “but of course!”

Genetic Modification – we blindly take vaccinations, and we might be sheep when it comes to “gene therapy” as well. Our desire to live longer might just be our undoing.

Nuclear Accident – nothing is foolproof. We’ve had such accidents in the past, and a bigger accident is totally possible. Hard for the ancients to predict, though.

Ice Age – right now the buzz is about “global warming”, yet a mere thirty years ago we were worried about an impending Ice Age. There is evidence that parts of our climate system work more like a switch than a dial, and if a certain level of temperature is reached, it may cause what is known as “abrupt climate change”. See the movie “The Day After Tomorrow” for how it might work.

Solar System Falls Apart (butterfly effect) – to the best of our knowledge, everything is OK for a long, long time. However simulations have shown how Mercury could cause Earth and Mars to collide a few billion years from now. But throw a stray comet or Planet X into the mix, and our solar system
could turn into a catastrophic pinball machine any old time.

Large Hadron Collider – scientists tinkering with something they think they understand the risks of, but what if there’s a 0.000001% chance their black hole calculations are wrong? Is it worth the risk? Originally we were told by CERN scientists that it was impossible for a black hole (that might gobble up the entire planet) to be created by the LHC, because it “would decay before it had the chance to do any damage”. This has recently been updated to “the growth of black holes to catastrophic size does not seem possible.”

Harry Potter Halloween Costumes for the Whole Family

Are you looking for the right Halloween costumes that your family can wear at the parties you’re attending this coming Halloween? If you want to be popular and easily recognized in these parties, Harry Potter costumes
are your ideal options. These costumes will surely give you the feel of Hogwarts’ magic, even just for a day!

Why Choose Harry Potter Costumes?

For additional effects, you may want to add other magical stuff like a wand, a broomstick, a wizard hat, or glasses for a Harry look. And for a further Harry Potter feel, you may want to get a stuffed owl (for Harry), a stuffed rat (for Ron), or a stuffed cat (for Hermione).

Inexpensiveness. Unlike other costumes that require elaborate and costly details, you can get Harry Potter costumes at affordable prices (in fact, you can even make your own!). With a little mix and match of some fabric and accessories, plus some make-up for effect, you can successfully pull over a costume without having to spend hundreds of bucks.
Great Variety. When you go for a Harry Potter costume, you’ll never run out of characters. Whether you have a son or a daughter, and whether you’re a mom or a dad, there’s always a wide range of characters to choose from.

Which Harry Potter Character Should You Go For?

You have various choices here, from boys to girls, from young to old, from heroes to villains, and from humans to non-human creatures.

Boy or Girl? For boys, dressing up as Harry Potter or his best friend Ron Weasley will surely be popular. Those who want to take a shot at being on the dark side can choose to be Draco Malfoy or any of his cronies. For girls, on the other hand, a Hermione costume will be perfect.
